A family wedding of purple and green

I have been looking forward to these pictures so I could share with you a family wedding at The Orchard at the end of Fabruary… and I do mean the end as it was on the 29th! It couldn’t get much ender than that!

We were delighted that The Orchard was John and Jen’s chosen place and I was moved and rather chuffed when they asked me to be their family celebrant :)

It was such a pleasure to spend time with John and Jen, to create a ceremony that was meaningful to them and which included a hand-fasting and the planting of a beautiful little oak tree which they have been nurturing in a pot for the last four years.

We planted spring bulbs in The Archway in September in readiness for a purple themed wedding in February and it was just lovely to share with the family in preparing The Orchard for the big day.

In the weeks and weeks of relentless rain we had a surprisingly sunny, if a little breezy day and Jen absolutely rocked her Legend Bridal dress - she was hardcore in that breeze. You just need to look at John and Jen’s smiling faces to see how much they enjoyed their day.

And how splendid does our handsome barn look standing proud in our beautiful little plot of earth?
